Domestic Violence Prevention & Support
Problem: You may be in a relationship where love and pain have started to mix together, or you might be supporting someone in that situation. Arguments turn into fear, boundaries are ignored, and you find yourself walking on eggshells or questioning your own worth.
Solution: My Domestic Violence Prevention & Support service centers on the truth that love does not hurt. I provide a safe, confidential space to learn what healthy, respectful relationships look like, and how to recognize early warning signs of abuse-whether emotional, physical, financial, or verbal.
Together, we explore personal safety planning, including who you can call, where you can go, and what documents or items you may need to keep accessible. I also teach conflict resolution techniques that focus on self‑control and de‑escalation, so you can respond more calmly when tensions rise and better recognize when a situation is unsafe.
A major focus is on setting and enforcing personal limits. You learn how to say "no" without apology, how to communicate what is unacceptable to you, and how to stand by those boundaries even when others push back. For example, you might practice phrases for ending a heated conversation, refusing financial control, or asserting your right to privacy.
I also address the emotional side: shame, guilt, confusion, and the fear of starting over. You are never blamed for what you have experienced. Instead, you receive education, affirmation, and support to rebuild your sense of value and possibility.
This service can stand alone or complement my other personal growth classes, especially for those rebuilding confidence after harmful relationships. Domestic Violence Prevention & Support is here to help you move toward relationships rooted in respect, safety, and genuine care-for yourself, and for those who depend on you.
